Optics Fiber Component R&D Manager

JOB ROLE:

The Optics fiber component department is responsible for design and s setup manufacture process into production of lasers and integrated photonic system. This will require collaborative working with staff from a wide range of engineering backgrounds with many different skills to solve challenging problems with real commercial impact.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of new lensed fiber processes required for novel high speed silicon photonic.

  • Improvements on existing processes for production yield improvment.

  • Integration of new wafer fab processes with existing process steps.

  • Writing of procedures or work instruction for technician team training.

  • Transfer into manufacture of new process steps and custom design product.

  • Presentation of optics fiber micro processing information to R&D and operations teams.

  • work closely with engineering leads and design primes in the laser chip R&D/NPI department.

  • work closely with customer laser component manufacturing operations.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in physics, electrical/electronic engineering, materials science or a related discipline, with a broad engineering background.

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor diode assembly processing and optical test techniques.

  • Experience in a broad range of diode laser component processing, including but not restricted to several of the following: die attached, wire bond, optical fiber alignment, lid seal and testing.

  • Knowledge of important aspects of optical fiber polishing materials.

  • Proven ability to execute complex engineering activities.

  • Project co-ordination between R&D and manufacturing teams.

  • Previous experience in this or related industries (vision, mechanical and automation ) is not essential, but is advantageous.

Optical Thin Film Engineer

JOB ROLE:

Investigate, design & develop optical thin film coatings for optical fiber component - Identify areas where optical coatings can improve imaging, sensing, and display performance and customer experience, then design solutions to implement - Work with vendors to identify key technologies that can enable new optical features and benefits - Take total ownership to drive technologies from R&D to implementation on real products with multi-functional teams


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design thin film coating layers to meet the optical spectrum spec.

  • Screen the appropriate coating material for laser optical product.

  • Optimize the coating process for high laser damage threshold.

  • Analysis the data of design and experiments corresponding.

  • Trouble shooting of coating machine.

  • Complete the work instruction for optics fiber coating.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong technical background in optics, thin films, or materials.

  • Skilled design coating layers with TFCalc or Essential Macleod.

  • In-depth knowledge of thin film coating design, coating process, or optical characterization.

  • Strong experience in design of experiments and corresponding data analysis.

  • Knowledgeable of thin film deposition and metrology methods.

  • Creativity and out-of-box thinking in solving problems.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a multi-functional team.


Global Sales Development Manager

JOB ROLE:
The GSD manager will support the global sales team operationally, by ensuring that all sales development supported marketing initiatives are managed and handed off to GSDs on-time, and through the correct Sales force process. Additionally, you will coach and mentor the team, help develop sales skills, and assist in overcoming objections and challenges. You will also work closely with the Manager of Demand Generation Operations to ensure strategic alignment between the overall marketing and sales organization, and the activities executed by the general manager. Furthermore, you will have latitude to work with marketing leadership to affect successful outcomes – if a campaign is not yielding results, you are expected to be a problem solver.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Manager of Demand Generation Operations to ensure campaign effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales on the development of targeted campaigns and initiatives.

  • In lockstep with the campaign strategy, ensure the team executes on outbound cadences while providing feedback.    

  • Conversion of Qualified Prospects to Stage 0 Opportunities from Marketing to Sales.

  • Ensure the team effectively calls on Prospects and campaign members by adding them into a specific cadence in Salesforce with the intent of qualifying them further, converting them to Stage 0 Opportunities, planning a meeting, and handing off to sales.

  • Partner closely with Sales and Sales Leaders to establish account-based targeting, prospecting, and cold-calling targets to grow regional sales’ team pipeline.

  • Interface directly with field sales teams and carve out account and contact targeting with clearly identified objectives.

  • Respond quickly and timely to requests made by the field for data requests such as account and contact lists, opportunity research, and other ad-hoc needs.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required,4+ years of inbound/outbound sales prospecting or field sales in fiber optics or related work.

Demonstrate natural leadership qualities that indicate experience, or, readiness, to take on a leadership role.

Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and adapt quickly when interfacing with prospects.

Demonstrated experience setting and achieving goals, generating pipeline and effective conversion to revenue.

Strong communication skills and outstanding persuasive ability.

Educational background in engineering or sales/communications is strongly preferred.

Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Must demonstrate integrity and a commitment to values.
